GlauCaps® is a preparation developed to support baroprotective therapy of glaucomatous neuropathy. This effect is based on the action of the patented GlauProtect formula, which contains genistein, epigallocatechin gallate, and the Egb 761 extract.

Genistein is an organic chemical compound found, among others, in the Japanese pagoda tree (Sophora japonica).
It is an inhibitor of the Rho/ROCK pathway, exhibiting neuroprotective, baroprotective, and vasoprotective activity.

2. ECGC

NEUROPROTECTION

Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) is an organic chemical compound found in significant amounts in green tea. EGCG is a polyphenol and the most potent antioxidant acting on retinal ganglion cells.

3. Egb 761

VASOPROTECTION

A standardized extract from Ginkgo biloba leaves.
It improves the rheological properties of blood and the condition of the retinal and optic nerve vessels.

GlauCaps® Ingredients

Ingredients: Green tea leaf extract (Camellia sinensis O. Ktze.), bulking agent: microcrystalline cellulose, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, Ginkgo biloba leaf extract (Ginkgo biloba L.), Japanese pagoda tree fruit extract (Sophora japonica L.), zinc oxide (zinc), purified water, gelling agent: carrageenan, anti-caking agents: magnesium salts of fatty acids, silicon dioxide, gelling agent: potassium acetate, colorant: copper chlorophyllin complexes, sodium selenite (selenium). Do not use in case of hypersensitivity or allergy to any of the product’s ingredients.
